We offer safe, welcoming, confidential, and completely free services across Lufkin, Nacogdoches, Crockett, and San Augustine counties.
Women's Emergency Shelter
Our emergency shelter is a safe haven for women and child survivors fleeing active domestic abuse. It is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Residents are provided with food, safe lodging, and immediate physical and emotional support in a secure facility.
Secure Facility
Highly guarded location with restricted access to ensure safety of all residents.
Basic Needs
Clean bedding, clothing, toiletries, and nutritious meals are provided free of charge.
Crisis Case Managers
Advocacy, transition strategies, and resource placement to help residents rebuild safe lives.
Domestic Violence Advocacy
We offer complete client advocacy, legal support, and professional counseling for survivors of domestic violence. Our services focus on empowering individuals, explaining legal remedies, and guiding survivors toward independent, violence-free lives.
Legal & Court Accompaniment
Filing protective orders, navigating divorce/custody documentation, and having an advocate by your side in court.
Safety Planning
Creating strategic, tailored escape plans, code words, emergency bag checklists, and safety protocols.
Support Groups & Counseling
Individual trauma-informed counseling and peer support groups led by licensed therapists.
Sexual Assault Support Services
We offer safe, non-judgmental crisis response, medical accompaniment, and support services for survivors of sexual assault and abuse. Our advocates stand by you at the hospital, support you during law enforcement interviews, and guide your recovery path.
Medical Accompaniment
A trained advocate will meet you at local medical centers during forensic exams to offer comfort and explain your rights.
Crime Victims Compensation
Helping survivors apply for state financial assistance to cover medical therapy, lost income, and security costs.
Youth/Adult Specialized Counseling
Confidential, clinical therapy programs addressing physical assault, family violence, and childhood trauma.
Child Advocacy Services
Children are often secondary victims of family violence, requiring unique, gentle care to navigate their trauma. Our Child Advocacy team provides safety planning, age-appropriate counseling, and play therapy to assist in their recovery.
Play & Art Therapy
Expressive counseling techniques allowing children to process difficult emotions in a safe space.
Teen & Pre-Teen Support Groups
Peer groups focusing on healthy boundary setting, communication, self-esteem, and recovery from trauma.

Battering Intervention & Prevention Program (BIPP)
BIPP provides psychoeducational classes for individuals who have exhibited abusive behaviors. The program aims to hold offenders accountable, assist them in recognizing their behaviors, and teach tools to choose non-violent, respectful responses.
State-Accredited Curriculum
Classes satisfy court-mandated educational requirements for family violence probationers.
Accountability Groups
Facilitator-led discussions focusing on power control wheel dynamics, accountability, and safety.
Preventative Education
Assisting individuals in learning early warning signs and developing strategies to break cycles of abuse.
Transition to Healing
Healing and safety are long-term paths. The Transition to Healing program offers supportive services to help shelter graduates and outreach clients establish permanent housing, build careers, and find stability in their new, violence-free lives.

Resume building workshops, career search guidance, and GED/college application assistance.

Teen Dating Violence Awareness
Teen dating violence can take many forms: physical, psychological, online stalking, or sexual abuse. We work in East Texas middle schools, high schools, and colleges to educate students on how to identify healthy relationships, boundaries, and safe digital behavior.

Preventative workshops covering healthy communication, warning signs of control, and peer safety.
Digital Harassment Safety
Helping teens handle online bullying, tracking apps, identity theft, and non-consensual content sharing.

- Equal Access to Services: All shelter, advocacy, and counseling services are provided free of bias, discrimination, or exclusion.
- Right to File a Grievance: If you feel you have experienced unfair treatment, harassment, or discrimination, you have the right to file a formal grievance without fear of retaliation.
- Fair Review Process: Grievances are reviewed directly by the Program Director, Executive Director, and Board of Directors.
